The Basics

The 2020 Texas Teen Book Festival will take place October 31 and November 1 online. The Festival is free and open to the public!

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a teen to attend—we welcome readers of all ages. The Festival will feature nationally and critically recognized authors, writing workshops, and workshops for educators.

Book sales at the Festival support our annual event. Thank you for your support!

Logistics

When: October 12, 2019 | 9am-6pm

Where: Southwestern University campus in Georgetown, Texas. Georgetown is located just north of Austin.

Who: 30+ of your favorite Young Adult authors and thousands of YA fans!

Why: We think you know the answer to this one! TTBF is a super fun day and a unique opportunity to meet some of the biggest and best YA authors of our favorite books, not to mention meet tons of other readers just like you!

Do I have to sign up or register in advance to attend? No! Just show up!

Does it cost anything? No! TTBF is FREE and open to the public!

Academic Mall: Book signing tent, iTent, Studio Create, lounge area

Free parking is available around the Southwestern campus. Please park on the Northside of E. University Avenue (TX-29), where the Southwestern Campus is located. Drop off spots for attendees and buses will be available. (Note: please do NOT park at San Gabriel Unitarian Universalist Fellowship or Grace Episcopal Preschool.)

Food

Great news! We’ll have food trucks on site as well as access to Southwestern dining halls. However, feel free to pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic on the beautiful grounds.

Book Sales & Signings

The BookPeople bookstore will open in the McCombs Bishop’s Lounge at Southwestern at 9:00AM on Saturday, October 12.

All authors will sign books throughout the day in designated signing sessions in the Signing Tent on the Academic Mall. The festival book signing schedule will be announced on Friday, September 13. Authors will sign throughout the day, with one final all-author signing at the end of the day.

You may bring 3 personal books from home to be signed for every 1 book purchased at the festival. Cash, checks (made out to BookPeople), and credit cards will be accepted. Books sales are managed by our partner and proud sponsor BookPeople. All book sales will be in the McCombs Bishop’s Lounge and will begin at 9 am and continue all day.

You can have your books signed by authors during the author signing times taking place in the Signing Tent on the Academic Mall. Stay tuned for author signing times.
