My cheesy 80s romcom would be Say Anything because I’m definitely a Lloyd Dobler-type who is into boxing and extreme displays of emotions.
You’ve said that you wanted to write about the beauty of the Bronx in this novel. If you had to describe the Bronx in three words, what would they be?

There are so many but I would pick Elana K Arnold’s forthcoming young adult novel Damsel because it flips the fairy tale story of a knight coming to rescue a princess with deliciously dark results.
