Ashley Poston – #TTBF Author Interview – 2017

August 31, 2017 in TTBF 2017

1. You write about a relationship built through text. Are you a phone call person or a text person? Who do you text the most in your own life? I am definitely a text person! I don’t really like talking to people on the phone—the exception is my mom, though. I think that might be because we’re very close, and I already know what she’s thinking half the time before she even says anything. She’s just found the excitement of emojis, so when we text it feels like I’m trying to decipher an ancient code asking if I’m coming over for dinner. 2. What is the one movie you can quote the most? Oh, I am a sucker for 1991’s Beauty and the Beast. I can quote it front to back, back to front, sideways, longways, slideways—with the accents (or, at least my Very Bad attempts at them)! 3. TTBF’s new slogan is “Read Everything.” What book have you read that you’d like to see on our official Read Everything book list for 2017? It’s an oldie, but I try to convince everyone to read Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones at least once. It’s such a magical book—and a classic!
