Caleb Roehrig – #TTBF Author Interview 2017

1. This is actually your second year in a row at the Texas Teen Book Festival. What’s your favorite memory from last year? The enthusiasm of the organizers and attendees at TTBF 2016 really made the entire event special -- but my favorite memory is the Texas Throwdown Game Show! I got to wear a VERY high-fashion toga, styled by Sabaa Tahir and described for the audience by David Arnold, which gave me the rare opportunity to show off my catwalk skills. 2. What actor would play you in the movie version of your life? This is a hard question! But I would probably cast either Adam Scott or Joseph Gordon-Levitt. 3. TTBF’s new slogan is “Read Everything.” What book have you read that you’d like to see on our official Read Everything book list for 2017? I'd love to see ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE by Benjamin Alire Sáenz on the Read Everything list. It's such a beautiful and moving book about love and identity and coming of age, and I wish I could have gotten my hands on it when I was a teenager. It's the kind of story that stays with you long after you've finished it -- and then you try to make your friends read it so you have someone to discuss it with.
